Strange to think this is home for the summer... however, I am not complaining. After struggling with myself for the longest time regarding my summer plans, it is insane to think I have ended up here. My initial thoughts in mission summer plan were "Stay in Ann Arbor, you have a place until August and it would be convenient to not have to move." This was then followed by, "You want to be in New York. Give the city a chance!" Three interviews and two internship offers later and I am obviously not in New York. After many stressful nights and hours of long conversation with my closest friends, I decided I needed to remove myself from any stressful environments. As much as I love the city, it is not always peaceful and serene with the hustle and bustle accompanied with the "the city never sleeps" mantra. With all that said, SoCal is home for the summer and I could not be more at peace with my decision. Crazy to digest the fact that God knew all along where I would end up all along. I believe He put me in this place for a reason this summer and I can't wait to find out what that reason is. Jeremiah 29:11 comes to mind immediately when I think of where I am now... "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." For anyone who is stressing about the future, hopefully that verse is a gentle reminder. I obviously didn't take the memo and it could have saved me from some restless nights. I have a great internship, am living with one of my best friends, and have incredible places to explore. Excited for the adventures to come! #feelingblessed

p.s. might come here every single day.
